The official website for the anime film of boy band Strawberry Prince member Jel's Toi-san short video series opened on Thursday with an advance teaser video. The teaser announces the film's Toi-san wa Seishun Shitai! "Baka to SmaPho to Romance to" (Toi-san Wants to Live in Her Youth! "A Fool, a Smartphone, and Romance") title, staff, returning cast, and July 18 opening date.
The film is being directed by Mankyū at Seven Arcs, and the characters were designed by Yoichi Kato, who co-wrote the narrative with Jel. Akemi Kobayashi Chi's Sweet Home. Hiromi Mizutani and AniTone are credited with background music, while STPR MUSIC and AniTone are credited with the music.

Jel portrays both himself and Akane Toi in the movie, much like in the last short animation. The opening theme song "Meccha Tooi! featuring Jel & Toi-san" (Totally Far Away!) is also sung by the characters Jel and Toi-san.& Takuya Koyama, a member of the Yabai T-shirts-ya-san band, composed the song's music and lyrics.
The movie will be distributed in Japan by Shochiku. Jel contributes to the film's storyboards, character design, voice acting, writing, and planning. The film's producing committee includes Dentsu and STPR. The showbiz persona of Strawberry Prince's leader In addition to executive producing the movie, Nanamori is in charge of planning.
In April 2019, a video on Twitter (now X) marked the debut of the Toi-san comedic video series. On YouTube, TikTok, and other platforms, the series' more than 1,000 videos have received over 10 billion views overall. The main character of the school comedy series is Akane Toi, a female high school student who, on her first day of class, meets Jel, a gorgeous classmate.
