Kashitarō Itō will perform the closing theme song "Tsukikage Okuri" (Moonlight Sending), while Riria will perform the opening theme song "Shiawase no Yakusoku" (A Happy Promise), according to the staff for the second television anime season based on Akumi Agitogi and Tsukiho Tsukioka's My Happy Marriage (Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon) light novel series. On January 14, Ito's single will be made available digitally.
Along with a new poster, new video, and an additional cast member, the staff also disclosed that the season would debut on Japanese television on January 6.
On January 6, Tokyo MX, BS11, KBS Kyoto, Sun TV, and TV Aichi will all premiere the series. On January 7, the series will premiere on AT-X. The series will be available on Netflix in January, as was originally stated; however, the statement on Sunday did not specify when the Netflix stream will launch.
The new cast member is Haruka Tomatsu as Kaoruko Jinnouchi.

The second season of Kinema Citrus is directed by returning director Takehiro Kubota in collaboration with Masayuki Kojima, who served as storyboarder and episode director for the first season. In addition to co-writing the series scripts with Misato Hashiba, Fūka Ishii, and Momoka Toyoda, Ami Satō now bears the only credit for managing them, a role she previously shared with Takahito Ōnishi and Momoka Toyoda during the first season. The characters are once more designed by Shōko Yasuda, while the sub-characters are designed by Kuniyuki Itō. Osamu Masuyama is returning as art adviser, while Emi Katanosaka is back as art director.
For editing, Masayuki Kurosawa is back. The soundtrack is being produced by MIRACLE BUS in association with Kinema Citrus and Kadokawa, with Takahiro Ikeda serving as the music supervisor. Returning to work on script development is Kōji Morimoto.
