Ao no Exorcist: Yuki no Hate-hen, which will be known in English as Blue Exorcist: Beyond the Snow Saga, debuted a new teaser and key visual during a Blue Exorcist stage event at Anime Expo on Friday.
Director Daisuke Yoshida, writer Toshiya Ono, character designer and main animator Yurie Oohigashi, and composers Kohta Yamamoto and Hiroyuki Sawano are among the returning personnel.
The new anime will run for two quarters of a year, starting in October 2024 with Blue Exorcist: Beyond the Snow Saga and ending in January 2025 with Blue Exorcist: The Blue Night Saga. The anime may be seen on Crunchyroll as it airs.
The animation is a follow-up to Blue Exorcist: Shimane Illuminati Saga, which debuted on January 6 in Japan. Both the Japanese and English dubs of the anime were available for streaming on Crunchyroll.
Toshiya Ono was in charge of the series writing at Studio VOLN, while Daisuke Yoshida directed the animation. Character designer and principal animator Yurie Oohigashi wrote the soundtrack, with Hiroyuki Sawano and Kohta Yamamoto contributing as well. The opening theme, "Eye's Sentry," was provided by the rock group UVERworld, while Mulasaki-Ima sang the closing theme, "Gakkyū Nisshi" (Class Diary).
