Re:zero season 3 video reveals new cast and October premiere date

A new promotional trailer for the third season of Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- was shown on Sunday during the Anime Japan 2024 stage event. The anime's October launch date is revealed in the video. 

The stage event also revealed that Aya Yamane will join the cast as the character Liliana Masquerade. 

The film showcases Priestella, the canal city that serves as the new backdrop for the third season. Liliana is a singer and troubadour who resides in Priestella. 

Two volumes of original video animation (OVA) called Re:ZERO - Starting Life in Another World - Memory Snow and Re:ZERO - Starting Life in Another World - The Frozen Bond have been inspired by the anime. Crunchyroll has started to broadcast the OVA. In April 2020, Re:ZERO - Beginning Life in Another World - The Frozen Bond was added, while in February 2020, Re:ZERO - Beginning Life in Another World - Memory Snow was released. 

The impact of COVID-19 on the anime's production caused the second season to air in July 2020 instead of April 2020 as planned. The remaining part of the second season debuted in January 2021. When the second season premiered in Japan, it was streamed on Crunchyroll.
