A new trailer for the forthcoming original anime Special Kid Factory from studio NAZ was shown on Saturday at the Anime Expo 2024 panel.
The original plan was for the anime to premiere in 2023. The anime's revised release date was not disclosed by the panel.
Plot of the Story:
The suspense sci-fi anime takes place in a future where unbeknownst to the people of Earth, there wages an interstellar war spanning the entire universe. Alien arms dealers control our world from behind the scenes, using it as a supersoldier factory where "special kids" with unique abilities are abducted to fight in wars on the other side of the universe. When one "special kid" escapes captivity and journeys back to earth, a seemingly ordinary boy discovers he is a body double for the family all while being drawn unarmed into the heart of a space war.
The animation at NAZ is directed by Atsushi Ikariya. The person in charge of series composition is Otaro Maijo. The anime is overseen by Ei Aoki. As assistant director, Daisuke Mataga is involved. The original character designs are drawn by Yūki Kodama, while Norie Igawa is tasked with adapting them for animation. Yasuo Suda is the producer and principal animator Ai Asari.
