Production company Aniplex opened an official website for a television anime adaptation of Dan Ichikawa's Atarashii Joushi wa Do Tennen (My New Boss Is Goofy) manga on Tuesday. The website revealed the main cast, staff, teaser visual (pictured), and a teaser promotional video.
Ichikawa initially drew the slice of life comedy manga as a web comic on their Twitter account in May 2018 and then began serialization on the Manga Cross website starting February 2019. Akita Shoten shipped the second volume in May 2020.
Plot: Momose, a 26-year-old office worker, recently changed jobs after being harassed by his former boss. He is concerned that his new boss will also use power harassment to make his life miserable. Momose tries to hide his concern about facing a similar situation with his new boss, Shirasaki. To Momose's surprise, however, Shirasaki's inherent airheadedness immediately alleviates all of his concerns, giving him a sense of relief.
