The television anime version of Ran Kuze's manga series Medaka Kuroiwa is Impervious to My Charms (Kuroiwa Medaka ni Watashi no Kawaii ga Tsūjinai) was announced on a website that launched on Monday.
At Synergy SP, Yoshiaki Okumura is in charge of the animation. Mayumi Watanabe is in charge of character design, Akiyuki Tateyama is in charge of music composition, and Kazuyuki Fudeyasu is in charge of writing series scripts. Masakazu Miyake is the art director, Tetsuya Nishimura from Studio Elle is the compositing director of photography, Aiko Yamagami is in charge of color design, and Noriyoshi Konuma is in charge of sound.
In December 2020, Kuze released the manga as a stand-alone tale in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine. In May 2021, the manga began to serialize in full in the magazine. The first collected book volume of the manga was released in Japan by Kodansha in August 2021, and the fourteenth volume is scheduled to ship this Thursday.
Plot of the story:
Mona is the cutest girl in school, and she knows it. In fact, she's worked hard to make her high school debut successful. But no matter what she does, she can't seem to catch the eye of stone-cold stoic Medaka Kuroiwa—but she's not about to give up that easy. Medaka, on the other hand, has been raised at a temple and was told to never become close to women. Who will win in this heated battle of wills?
