In addition to the basic navigation data necessary for the technical functioning of the site, we collect and process the following personal data provided directly by the user:

• Registration, Account Management, and Profile Data: When a user creates an account, we collect strictly necessary data (such as email address, username, and encrypted password). Furthermore, we store user-generated content such as anime lists, ratings, watch status, and profile visibility preferences (public/private). These data are processed exclusively to allow access to the reserved area, profile customization, and the provision of services reserved for registered users. The legal basis is the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures (Art. 6, point (b), GDPR).
• Survey and Voting Data: For participation in animated series surveys, we require the entry of the username from the external platform "MyAnimeList" (MAL). This data is collected for the sole purpose of validating the vote, preventing survey manipulation, and maintaining the integrity of the community. The legal basis is the legitimate interest of the Data Controller and the explicit consent of the user (Art. 6, point (a), GDPR).
• Navigation and Infrastructure Data (Vercel & Supabase): The site is hosted on Vercel, and user database management is entrusted to Supabase. These computer systems automatically acquire certain technical data (such as IP addresses) used for the sole purpose of ensuring the security of the infrastructure, session management, and obtaining anonymous statistical information.

User account data is stored securely on our database servers (Supabase) until the user decides to delete their profile. The user can request the total deletion of their account and all associated data at any time by sending an email to the Data Controller. Survey-related data is kept for the duration of the survey itself and subsequently anonymized for statistical purposes.

This site adopts a "Privacy First" approach and does not use third-party advertising profiling cookies. Only Technical Cookies are used, including:

• Session and Authentication Cookies: Essential to allow the user to log in and browse while maintaining secure access to their account.
• Navigation Cookies: Necessary for saving preferences (e.g., site language) and for the correct functioning of the infrastructure.

Since these cookies are strictly necessary to provide the service requested by the user, under current legislation, prior consent via a banner is not required for their installation. The user can disable them from their browser, but this will make it impossible to access the personal area of the site.

Within the site, there are links pointing to external platforms (MyAnimeList, Instagram, Discord, Telegram, and Ko-fi for crowdfunding). By clicking on them, the user leaves this site. Data processing on the destination platforms—including any financial transaction handled via Ko-fi—is managed entirely by the respective companies, according to their specific privacy policies.

In compliance with the GDPR, the registered user has the right to request from the Data Controller, at any time:

• Access to their personal data and the portability thereof.
• The rectification of inaccurate data or the total deletion of their account (Right to be forgotten).
• The restriction of, or objection to, processing.

Requests should be directed via email to: animeromanceservicehelp@gmail.com. The user also has the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority (Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali) in the event of violations.
